Sustainability Commitment

Sustainability has always been a huge pillar in my life, both personally and as a small business owner. Below are the various commitments I have taken to ensure that Algae Art is as eco-friendly as possible:

- All shipping is carbon-neutral through Sendle

- All printed material is printed on recycled paper with soy-based ink

- Stickers are biodegradable and 100% compostable in any at-home system, yet they are still water resistant

- All frames are upcycled, allowing them to be just as individually unique as the algae itself, and all algae is sustainably hand-picked along the east coast

- Nearly all of my shipping supplies and boxes are upcycled from personal and business orders I have received

- During select months throughout the year, a portion of proceeds are donated to various environmental nonprofits throughout the Northeast region

- I will never knowingly use dangerous chemicals or substances to bring any products to the shop. (One day I’ll tell you about the time I*almost*carried resin products!)
